Q: How the Taxpayer will come to know whether the TRP has filed the return or not?
A: After filing the returns TRP will provide the acknowledgement number.
Q: How many days it will take to file my returns through TRP?
A: Depends on various factors like proper documentation and also work load of TRP.
Q: How the Taxpayer will identify the TRP agent?
A: Tax payer can identify the TRP by his ID card or certificate.
Q: Whether the taxpayer should provide the original documents to TRP?
A: Some necessary documents should be provided to the TRP to file returns, There is no need to give original documents to TRPs for his safe custody.
Q: As a tax payer I am confused whom to contact TRP or Chartered accountant to pay my tax?
A: Customers choice. TRPs are meant to be cheaper choice for preparation of simple & straight returns.
Q: 6) How much the taxpayer should pay to TRP?
A: Assessee:
Old Assessee: Rs. 250 (fixed) to be taken from assessee by TRP
New Assessee:TRP will be given following percentage of the "tax payable" from Govt. as remuneration.
3% for first year
2% for second year
1% for third year
The minimum remuneration of TRP is Rs 250The maximum remuneration of TRP is Rs 1000
If amount of remuneration of TRP comes to below Rs 250
TRP takes the difference of amount (250 - remuneration due) from the assessee (eg. If remuneration due for TRP is Rs 200, then Rs 50 will be collected from assesee and Rs 200 will be credited to his account by IT department)
If amount of remuneration of TRP comes in between 250 - 1000
It will be credited in his account and he should not ask any payment fro the assessee.
If amount of remuneration of TRP comes is above Rs 1000
TRP will be given Rs 1000 only.

Q: How to fill the online form & from where it is available?
A: Log onto http://incometaxindia.gov.in -> pay taxes online.
Q: 2) How the TRP will receive his\her remuneration?
A: Returns filed by the TRP will be processed in the field preferably within 4 months. The processing would indicate the amount of remuneration payable to them. Actual disbursement would be made there after through ECS (Electronic Clearance System). Since the scheme is being run on pilot basis & this is only the 1st year, there may be some unintentional delay.
Q: Who will monitor the TRP agents?
A: : Resource centre (Online) & the training partner (NIIT).
Q: TRP is eligible to file return all over India?
A: Yes, But they should provide their work address.
Q: Whether TRP can use visiting card?
A: Yes, They can use the visiting cards.
Q: Whether TRP can use digital signature?
A: No, they are not authorized to use digital signatures.
Q: Can a TRP file return for a person anywhere in India?
A: Yes, he can.
Q: Can he advertise in newspapers or magazines for his services?
A: : No.
Q: TRP cannot file returns for more than 3 lakhs of taxable income or 3 lakhs of gross income? Is there any limitations as such?
A: No such limits.
Q: 10) Whether he should open a separate bank account for remuneration?
A: NIIT will communicate to them regarding the bank account. But it is necessary to have the bank account where the ECS is possible.

Q: Would TRP be responsible/accountable for any errors he made during the Income tax calculation of an assessee?
A: Yes
Q: Whom the TRP should contact for any update regarding Income tax rules & regulations?
A: Log in into the website www.trpscheme.com -> taxman advance e-learning & they have to go through some relevant books from the markets.
Q: For the time being shall we fill the manual ITR form?
A: TRP can fill the manual form as well as online form. If they file their tax through online, then within 2 weeks they have to submit paper returns as well to the IT office.
Q: Can a TRP appoint people under him to help him in his work?
A: Yes, he can, but the TRP would be the solely responsible for the omissions made in the returns.
